Kawamwbwa District Community Development Officer Dominic Mweemba has warned people of Muyembe sub center in Kawambwa district to avoid politics in the distribution of inputs to the vulnerable but viable farmers.

This is to enhance the food security pack programme and ease vulnerable people’s problems in the area.

Mr Mweemba sounded the warning in Muyembe on Monday when he visited the area to sensitize the people about the inputs under the food security pack.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mweemba  explained that the fertilizer that had been delivered to the sub center meant  for poverty reduction among the vulnerable people hence there should be no politics during the distribution.

However, Mr Mweemba pointed out that the fertilizer was not for free noting that the beneficiaries will have to pay back some maize after harvest.

He added that he expected those that will receive the inputs will do a good job so that they pay back some maize to enable others benefit in the future.

Mr Mweemba noted that people should know that if they paid back others could also benefit from the programme thereby reducing poverty among the vulnerable people.

According to Mr Mweemba, Muyembe sub center recently received 200 x 50

kilogramme bags of D-compound fertilizer under the food security pack programme.
