MMD confident of victory in January 20 polls

Kasama Dec 22/14, ZANIS———MMD President, Nervers Mumba, says the party is confident of winning the January 20 Presidential polls.

Addressing a public rally at the President’s Park in Kasama yesterday, Dr Mumba said the MMD is the biggest opposition in the country with representation in all the corners of Zambia.

He promised that when elected into office, the MMD will prioritise the education and health sectors as they are the most critical sectors for
the development of any country.

On agriculture, the MMD leader said his leadership will ensure early payment of farmers and early delivery of farm inputs.

He noted that support to farmers was critical in improving food security and the fight against poverty.

Dr Mumba said time had come for Zambians to elect a Christian president who will introduce morality and integrity in politics.

He said he is the best man to rule Zambia as he has been chosen by God to redeem Zambia which is a Christian nation.

Dr Mumba called on Zambians to turn out in large numbers and vote for
the MMD on January, 20.

He said the MMD he was heading will bring new hope to Zambians.

Dr Mumba also reiterated his commitment to the fight against corruption.

On the traditional front, Dr Mumba said as soon as he was sworn into office, he would move to recognise the chieftaincy of Henry
Kanyanta Sosala, as paramount chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people.

Dr Mumba was accompanied to Kasama by members of the MMD National Executive Committee (NEC), who included Peter Machungwa, Elizabeth Chitika, and Howard Kunda
among others.
