—–UPND cadres in Kaoma district of Western province this morning staged a solidarity march in support of UPND president, Hakainde Hichilema, following his successful filing in of nomination papers yesterday in Lusaka.

The group, which was led by Kaoma District Youth Vice chairperson, Joseph Kwanga, said the PF leadership is in a state of panic as the wind in the country is blowing towards the opposition UPND party.

Mr Kwanga said the reinstatement of over 500 nurses that were fired by the PF government is a sign that the ruling party was in a serious panic because the move is to create a good image that the PF has a heart for all civil servants in the country, a situation which is to the contrary.

He claimed that the PF as a ruling party is now copying what the opposition UPND is telling the electorates in its campaign trails throughout the country of Zambia being better after UPND gets into power on January 20, 2015.

Mr Kwanga observed that if the PF is serious it should release the Barotse activists, recognise Sosala Kanyanta as chief Chitimukulu and enact the new constitution within 14 days.

And Kaoma district UPND chairman, Andrew Kakumbi, urged all members to campaign fully and tell people what UPND president, Hakainde Hichilema, will do for the country and unite with other opposition political parties that have shown interest in supporting the good calls of the party.

Meanwhile, Kaoma Central Constituency PF Information and Publicity Secretary, Charles Ndewe, has appealed to UPND cadres in Kaoma district to desist from pulling down PF posters bearing the images of their party president, Edgar Lungu.

Mr Ndewe said suspected UPND cadres in the locality were busy destroying their party posters, a situation he said might lead to a serious fight if it continues.

He said the behaviour being exhibited by UPND cadres in Kaoma district will emanate into serious fights as his (PF) members will not sit idle watching their posters being destroyed.

Comments from Kaoma District Electoral Officer and Council Secretary, Fidelis Chanda, proved futile as he was reported to be out of the district.
