Nakonde, December 19, ZANIS————————–Nakonde District Commissioner James Singoyi has warned civil servants in the District not to engage themselves in partisan politics ahead of the January 20th Presidential by-election.

Mr Singoyi warned that civil servants are supposed to be non partisan and serve the government of the day.

Mr. Singoyi issued the warning yesterday during the District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) meeting which was held at the District Commissioner’s Conference room.

He said it would be sad if some civil servants lost their jobs due to practicing partisan politics.

Meanwhile, Nakonde District Buildings officer Kelvin Mawerere said the Construction of police cells at Nakonde Main police station have commenced at a total cost of K95, 000.

Mr Makwerere said the police cells are being constructed by GM Chilekwa Agencies of Nakonde.
