Police arrest two for robbing Zamtel

—-Police in Chipata have arrested two people for allegedly stealing airtime, modems, Sim cards and mobile phones valued at K32, 650 from Zamtel outlet in Chipata.


Eastern Division Police Commissioner, Grace Chipalila, said in an interview that Mapalo Nguni, 25, of Mchini Compound and Julius Mwale of
Navutika compound are alleged to have gained entry to the premises using a key and stolen the mobile phones and other accessories between November 27 and December 9, 2014.


Mrs Chipalila said the suspects are reported to have gained entry using keys and forcing their way into the store room.


She said police recovered four modems valued at K740, one blackberry phone valued at K999 and 40 sim cards worth K200 from the
suspects.


She also stated that airtime worth K110 was recovered from the suspects.


Mrs Chipalila said the two suspects will appear in court soon.
