Civil servants directed to foster government projects

—–Government has directed civil servants in Lukulu District to take knee interest and ensure that government programs are done.
Lukulu District Commissioner, Precious Muyenga, has since warned that she would not take lightly officers who will be letting government properties meant to benefit the public go to waste.


Ms Muyenga said pubic workerswere government in the district hence they play a big role in seeing to it that government programs are completed on time and in good condition.


And the DC has reminded civil servants in the district to be able to interpret government policies and programs accordingly for the betterment of the public.


Ms. Muyenga interpreting policy would help the community to know what government is doing for them, saying government is losing a lot of resources because of lack of information.


She said her office would work better when government departments to their part in informing the communities of their programs and projects.


Meanwhile, the DC has called on village headmen and the public at large to take knee interest in government projects taking place in their areas.


Ms Muyenga said this will help people involved to be responsible in their duties and be able to deliver good services to the public.


She said this in an interview with ZANIS after her field tour of the district monitoring government projects and explaining government policies and programs.
