PF PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL MILES SAMPA SAYS THE NEED FOR THE RULING PARTY TO UPHOLD DEMOCRATIC TENETS CANNOT BE OVER-EMPHASIZED.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Mano News last night, Mr Sampa described reports of him pulling out of the presidential contest as mere political gimmicks by his opponents.

Mr Sampa charged that politics of violence and intimidation as exhibited at the PF general conference yesterday should NOT be condoned in the modern era.

The Matero lawmaker who maintained that he is STILL in the race has since expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious in today’s party presidential election.

Yesterday, a posting on MILES SAMPA’s Facebook page indicated that he had withdrawn from the PF presidential race with a view to abet chaos and division in the party

Meanwhile, another PF Presidential contender Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba charged that Edgar Lungu’s camp had taken over the General Conference.

Mr Mwamba popularly known as GBM described the state of affairs at Mulungushi Rock of Authority as a ‘total sham’.

He further accused the pro-Edgar team of spreading lies that GBM has pulled of the contest.
