–   Chief Kaonga of the Lozi speaking people of Lweti Silalo in Sikongo District says he will not allow any of his subjects to vote for the opposition during the January 20 Presidential by-elections.

Chief Kaonga  says his chiefdom   would not allow the opposition political parties to mislead his subjects to vote for them.

He said this was because the current government had brought a lot of development in the area.

ZANIS reports that the traditional ruler said this in a statement in a statement in Kalabo district, today.

The Chief also appealed to all Zambians to vote for PF if they were to  continue witnessing massive development.

Chief Kaonga reaffirmed his commitment and that of his subjects to vote for any candidate that would contest on the PF ticket in the fourth coming Presidential by-election.

He said it was only prudent for people to vote for PF government so as to complete its tenure.

The Chief added voting for PF would be  the only way to honour the late President Michael Sata  adding that PF was the only mature political party which has a good policy for national development.

“As an area Chief I will not allow anyone in my chiefdom to vote for the opposition parties, PF government should be given another chance to reach 2016 so as to complete its term and people should not allow the opposition political parties to mislead them,” said Chief Kaonga.

The traditional leader outlined  the construction of two network towers  and the upgrading of Sikongo to a district as some of the developmental projects  embarked on under the PF government during Mr Sata’s tenure.
