LAZ denies receiving request from Scott to interpret PF constitution

The Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has denied ever receiving a formal request from acting President Guy Scott to give a legal opinion on the ruling Patriotic Front’s constitution.

LAZ president George Chisanga has told Qfm News by telephone this afternoon that the Association has not to this effect prepared any legal opinion for the ruling PF contrary to some online media reports.

Mr. Chisanga notes that this means that the purported legal opinion that is being circulated on social media did not originate from LAZ.

Asked whether the Association has plans to however render a legal opinion on the PF constitution as requested by Dr. Scot through the media, Mr. Chisanga states that he cannot say whether or not the Association is going to do so without seeing what the request is.
