HEADS of state will start arriving this morning in readiness for viewing of late President Sata’s body at State House this afternoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba has said.
“We have put in place all the logistics in place for all the heads of state and other dignitaries that start arriving tomorrow [this morning], “ he said.
Madagascar President Heri Rajaonarimampianina last week confirmed attendance of late President Sata’s state funeral, bringing the total number of heads of state coming to the procession to nine.
Mr Kalaba said that South Africa’s Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa together with minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Emily Nkoana-Mashabane will also be present during the burial.
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Joseph Kabila; Hifikepunya Pohamba of Namibia and Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta are also coming.
Others are Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Mozambique’s Armando Emilio Guebuza and Malawi’s Peter mutharika.
