Mpongwe sets three projects for CDF

 

Mpongwe, Nov 6/14.ZANIS——–The District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) in Mpongwe has recommended the set-up of three major capital projects using the 2014 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

 

The projects recommended by the committee are the construction and procurement of a mortuary freezer unit at a cost of K337, 722.15, upgrading of the district water reticulation system and construction of a water reservoir at a cost of K365, 785.00 and the set-up of a community radio station at a cost of K300, 000.

 

According to a report made by the Mpongwe District Council planning department obtained by ZANIS, the district has received K1, 400,000 Constituency Development 2014fund (CDF) for the year 2014.

 

The report further states that the local authority received a total of 41 applications for consideration under the 2014 CDF and a total of 18 projects were shortlisted by the constituency development fund committee.

 

The report further disclosed that the 2012 CDF projects will be assessed in order to provide estimates for their completion.
