FAZ cancels November 21st, 2nd games

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has canceled all the football matches scheduled for this weekend, November 1^st and 2^nd.

FAZ Communications Officer Nkweto Tembwe told ZANIS in a statement in Lusaka today that the action has been taken as a sign of respect to the association’s patron, the late President Michael Sata, who died in London on 28 October 2014.

Mr. Tembwe said this means that all super league, division one, two, three, Futsal and any other matches organised under the ambit of FAZ, will not take place this weekend.

He said the association will give further guidance after consultations with relevant authorities on the way forward regarding the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers for next month.
