Kalabo, ZANIS, October 21,2014, ZANIS —– Lightening has struck dead twenty five herds of cattle in Luwe village of Chief Kaywa’s area in Sikongo District of the Western Province.

ZANIS reports that National Assembly of Zambia Administrative Assistant Zakeyo Chikunga confirmed the development in a statement in Kalabo district today.

The incident occurred over the weekend after a heavy down pour that hit the area.

Mr Chikunga named the owner of the animals as Namushi Muwana 58, a former Zambia National and Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Mongu transmitter employee.

And the two homes that were struck by lightening belong to Joyce Sitali 68 and Namondu Lwandamo.
