Mitete district approves projects

—-Mitete District Commissioner, Teddy Chimbinde, says government has allocated more money to new districts for developmental projects.

Mr. Chimbinde said this during the Golden Jubilee Independence Preparatory Meeting that took place yesterday in his office attended by Heads of Department Departments under Mitete district.

The DC said in Mitete district six projects have been approved, adding that the district is still expecting more developmental projects to be under taken.

He said among the six projects that have been approved are construction of the administration office block, District Council offices and the Council Chamber, the Police Post and the Post Office.

He mentioned others as high cost, medium and low cost houses for officers in the district.

Mr Chimbinde expressed hope that before the end of next year officers will be able to operate from their district in order for them to interact with the people in the area.

In another development, Mr Chimbinde thanked officers in the district for being committed to their work for the past two months he was out on official duties.

The DC further encouraged officers to remain committed in order to bring development closer to the people.
