Minister of Commerce Robert Sichinga has called on Turkish investors to explore potential business opportunities in the country.

Mr. Sichinga said the country offers a conducive environment for investment opportunities because it was a haven of peace and tranquillity.

He said Zambia has a stable macroeconomic environment which is conducive for both the private sector and industrial growth.

He said this in a speech read on his behalf by Acting Director in the Department of Industry in his ministry, Bornface Kunda during the Turkey business networking dinner held in Lusaka last night.

Mr. Sichinga assured the investors that their investments will be well secured in Zambia as the country offers an ideal place for investment.

And Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) president Rizanur Meral said his delegation was in the country to network, establish and build potential partnerships with the Zambian businessmen.

Mr. Meral said the delegation was also interested in exploring business opportunities in the mining and agriculture sectors.
