ZAVA committee members to attend volley ball workshop in Harare

Lusaka, September 20th, 2014, ZANIS— Three Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) executive committee members is scheduled to leave for Zimbabwe next week for a five days orientation workshop on the Implementation of a Volleyball Development Center.

 

The three committee members will attend a five days orientation workshop on the Implementation of a Volleyball Development Center.

 

This will culminate into Zambia establishing four centers of excellence in four provinces in the country under a program dubbed "African Dream for the development of schools and youth volleyball".

 

ZAVA secretary general Charles Hambote has disclosed the development to ZANIS Sports in an interview in Lusaka today.

 

Hambote named the delegates as Treasurer Nakaonga Kakoma, Schools and Youth Development Commissioner, Nyanga Chitambo and Technical Commissioner Steve Kasinsa.

 

Meanwhile, Hambote disclosed that the Spar Choma Open volleyball tournament kicks off tomorrow at Choma Secondary school in Choma District of Southern Province.

 

Hambote has since thanked the Southern Province Sports Association who are the organisaers of the volleyball tournament which has attracted University, College and Schools volleyball teams from across the country.
