Five newbies take oath in parliament
Lusaka, September 19, 2014,ZANIS————Five newly elected members of parliament this morning took their parliamentary oaths of allegiance.
The five area members of parliament included Mangango PF area member of Parliament Rodgers Lingweshi, Solwezi UPND area of parliament Dawson Kafwaya, Kasenengwa area member of parliament Victoria Kalima, Mkushi South PF area member of parliament Davies Chisopa and Zambezi west PF area member of parliament Christabel Ngimbu.
Out of the six by elections the ruling PF managed to scoop four seats while the MMD and UPND managed to get one seat each.
Meanwhile Mangango PF Rodgers Lingweshi area member of parliament caused laughter today when he forget to bow before speaker of national assembly during his grand entrance.
Mr Lingweshi processed to take oath instead of bowing before the speaker as per custom and tradition of the house.
It was at this point that members of parliament raptured into laughter as Mr Lingweshi continued taking his oath of allegiance amid the continued laughter.
Later after are pending his signature on the document, Mr Lingweshi proceeded in a matching step towards the speaker and saluted before handing his documents aimed further laughter in the house.
