Malawian woman, 23, defiles Zambian boy, 15

Police in Chipata have arrested a 23 year-old woman for allegedly defiling a 15 year-old boy at a guest house.

Eastern Province Deputy Police Commissioner Hudson Namachila told ZANIS in an interview today that the woman who is a Malawian national, is reported to have had sex with the minor on September 16 , 2014.

It is alleged that the boy who is a grade eight pupil approached the woman for sex at a named lodge around 04 hours and agreed to pay K20 after which he demanded for more.

It was at this point that the woman refused to provide the service as the money was not adequate for more than one round of sex.

Mr Namachila said the boy felt aggrieved and reported to the police that the woman had gotten his money.

He stated that upon taking a report, police asked the boy’s age and  it was then discovered that he was under age.

Police later arrested the woman and charged her for defilement.

Mr Namachila said the woman is in police custody and will appear in court soon.

In another incident, police in Chipata have uncovered a skeleton at Masupe forest.

Mr Namachila said the skeleton has not been identified but that it was found in a stripped blue shirt.

He noted that the matter was reported to the police by Pathius Tembo 55 who discovered the skeleton in the forest.

He said police are awaiting a post mortem to be conducted but that they do not suspect any foul play as there was no evidence to that effect and that investigations into the matter had since been launched.
