Christian Coalition Vice National Secretary Alick Mbewe has urged pastors to live exemplary life to avoid tarnishing the image of the church.

Mr Mbewe said this in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today when he was commenting on the arrest of a pastor from Divine Embassy Church who has been allegedly arrested for rape.

He said the mushrooming of churches is not the cause of such evils and has called on pastors to conduct themselves in a decent manner as they represent God.

Mr Mbewe said it is worrying to see such things happen to men of God who should be leading others and not vice versa

Meanwhile, he has called on Journalists to report events without sensationalism adding that they should investigate and write correct information.

He has cautioned other pastors who practice such evils to stop the act.
