Lusaka youths celebrate Kabumba dismissal

–The Lusaka District Patriotic Front (PF) Youth executive has welcomed the dismissal of Wynter Kabimba as PF Secretary General.

 

And the youth executive has since praised President Michael Sata for dropping Mr Kabimba from his ministerial position as Justice Minister.

 

Meanwhile, the youth executive has also called on President Michael Sata to with immediate effect drop Lusaka Province PF Youth Chairman, Kennedy Kamba, and Provincial Chairman, Geoffrey Chumbwe.

 

Lusaka District PF Chairperson, Elisa Khondowe, has told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka   after he led hundreds of PF youths who stormed Mass Media Complex around 17:00 hours yesterday.

 

Police officers manning the Mass Media Complex managed to calm the crowd that forcibly wanted to enter the   complex gate while chanting the anti-Kabimba slogans.

 

Mr Khondowe charged that Mr Kamba and Mr Chumbwe have destabilised the party in Lusaka province thereby making it unpopular to the opposition.

 

The youth leadership in Lusaka has since promised to pay loyalty to President Michael Sata and ensure that the party remains united and strong.

 

President Michael Sata yesterday revoked the appointment of   Wynter Kabimba as Minister of Justice and party Secretary General.

 

Edgar Lungu becomes the new party Secretary General and Minister of Justice in addition to his portfolio as Minister of Defence.
