School Executive Director Christine Kapampa his school is thus distancing itself from remarks attributed to Health Deputy Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya who was quoted in the Times of Zambia of August 26, 2014 Edition number 16, 053, saying Africa Healthcare Institute is illegal and that the institution under the auspices of the Zambia Civil Society Health Partnership started operating without Government authorization.
Ms. Kapampa says her school is a registered NGO which has also signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding, with Ministry of Health, and International Cooperating Partners.
She says this is why her school feels the best way the Health Deputy Minister could have handled the matter was to tell the school where it may not be meeting the required standards.
The Africa Healthcare Institute of Chingola School Executive Director says it is for this reason that her school invited Dr. Chilufya invited to tour the facility and propose what he could have thought were areas that require improvement.
She says the major aim of her school is to supplement government’s effort in improving health care delivery to the Zambian people especially that infant mortality rate is high in Chingola.
