The Media Institute of Southern Africa-MISA Zambia chapter has challenged the Northern Province Administration to create a conducive environment for Radio Mano Community Station to operate freely.

MISA Zambia Chapter Chairperson Hellen Mwale made the call when she paid a courtesy call on Regional Permanent Hlobotha Nkunika this morning.

Ms Mwale observed that there is need for the provincial administration and government at large to protect the radio station from any form of intimidation.

She was accompanied by MISA board member Wilson Pondamali, Radio Mano officials Benson Chibeka, Chrispine Ntalasha and Kennedy Mbulo.

And Regional Permanent Hlobotha Nkunika assured MISA Zambia and management at Radio Mano that his office will ensure that the station is given all the protection and support required.
