Voting commences in Mangango

 

Kaoma, August 19, ZANIS…….Voting has commenced in the Mangango by-elections with some voters arriving at polling stations as early as 05:30hrs to cast their votes.

A check by ZANIS at some polling stations found that the situation was calm as voting started at 06:00hrs with low turnout.

At Mangango Primary School polling Station 28 voters had cast their votes by 06:24hrs while at Shabo Polling Station 23 people had voted by 07:00hrs.

Twenty nine voters cast their votes at Ukete Polling Station by 07:35hrs and at Kapili Polling Station 20 people had voted by 07:50hrs.

PF candidate Rodgers Lingweshi Lyambai who was not accompanied by anyone turned up at Mangango Primary School Polling Station at 06:30hrs to cast his vote.

The Mangango seat is being contested by ADD’s Mwene Nalawa, MMD’s Charles Mwenzala, Rodgers Lingweshi Lyambai of PF, Fourth Revolution Party’s Mukumbuta Kabuyana, Godwin Puta for UPND and UNIP’s Janet Sombo Chingumbe.
