All political parties confident of winning by-election

Kalabo, August 18, 2014, ZANIS —-  All is set for tomorrow’s Buleya local government by-election in Kalabo district of the Western Province with all  political player expressing  confidence of scooping the seat.

 

The six political parties are Alliance for Development and Democracy (ADD), Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD), Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD).

 

Others are National Restoration Party (NAREP), the Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development (UPND).

 

Electoral Commission of Zambia district officials expressed gratitude at the peaceful campaigns that had taken place in Buleya Ward.

 

District Electoral Officer Milly Muluti was optimistic that the prevailing atmosphere in Buleya would continue even after voting.

 

The Buleya Ward fell vacant after United Party for National Development (UPND) Counsellor Oliver Mandumbwa resigned to join the Civil Service.
