Veep urges Mangango electorate to vote for Lingwashi

Mangango, August 14th, 2014, ZANIS — Vice President Guy Scott has urged the people of Mangango Constituency in Western to vote for aspiring PF candidate Rodgers Lingwashi in order for them to benefit from the massive infrastructure development taking place throughout the country.

 

Dr. Scott said that it will be retrogressive for the people of Mangango to vote for the opposition because the ruling PF party is powerful enough to change the lives of the people in the area.

 

He added that if the people  of Mangango voted for Mr Lingwashi during the August 19th, 2014, many challenges being experienced in the area such as poor road network and inadequate health facilities would be addressed.

 

ZANIS Staffer Precious Mulenga reports that the Vice President who landed at Imbotwa grounds in Kasali village of Mangango District at about 13: 15 hours , said this at a campaign rally held at Limbotwe Basic School grounds in Kasali Village the area this afternoon before proceeding to Mulundwe for a similar rally.

 

He was accompanied  by PF Chairperson Inonge Wina who is also Gender minister, Western Province minister Richwell Siamunene, and Community Development , Mother and Child Development minister Emerine Kabanshi , among other senior and ruling party officials, among others.

 

Dr Scott stated that practical change was essential for the people of Mangango adding that by 2016 the numerous challenges  that have hit the area would be a thing of the past.

 

He noted that the opposition MMD was defeated after 20 years in power because its leadership  failed to meet the interests of the people  by failing the interest of the people by not performing effectively.

 

Dr Scott asked for ample time from the people of Mangango by voting for Mr. Lingwashi who will contest the seat on the ruling party ticket for development to come to them.

And Mr. Lingwashi who begged for votes from the people in the area assured them that he will deliver according to their expectations..

 

He promised that he would not disappoint them as he was aware that the area was lagging behind in terms of development.

The Vice President  stated that he will represent the people’s interest b y improving their welfare.

 

And Western Province Minister Siyamunene, who is also UPND MP for Sinazongwe Constituency, said the only way the people in the area can access goods and services is by being close to the government.

 

Mr. Siyamunene urged the electorate in the area to vote for the PF candidate who he said would better represent them in parliament, accordingly.

 

And Ms. Kabanshi outlined at the rally government’s numerous projects that it has embarked throughout the country.

 

She stated that among these includes women empowerment programmes, social protection fund and food security funds, among others.

 

The minister stressed that the only way the people of Mangango could benefit from these empowerment projects was to vote for Mr. Lingwashi.

 

The seat was declared vacant after the then area MP Taundi Chiseke’s victory was declared null and void by the Supreme Court due to electoral mal-practices.
