—-Central Province Acting Permanent Secretary, Ronald Sinyangwe, has urged the council to create avenues for private and civil society organizations participation in civic affairs and delivery through Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Speaking when he closed the commemoration of the Local Government Week and the Africa Day on Decentralisation, Mr Sinyangwe urged members of the public to partner with government through PPP to improve service delivery in the communities.

He further added that members of the public should take keen interest in keeping the province clean by ensuring solid waste materials are thrown into designated areas.

“Members of the public should come up with innovative ideas and partner with local authorities in the country to mitigate the problem of solid waste management,” he said.

Speaking at the same event, Kabwe Mayor, Richard Bango, assured the people of Kabwe that cleaning activities have started and shall be a continuous process.

Mr Bango further called on the residents to give the council support so that they can serve them better.
