2)–DC seeks help to find missing villager

—–A senior government official in Serenje district has appealed to the community living  along the Tuta road to assist looking for a man who has gone missing after he was allegedly shot by a Zambia Wild Life Authority (ZAWA) game scout two weeks ago.

Serenje District Commissioner Charles Mwelwa confirmed to ZANIS in an interview today that Chibuye Chikola has not been found since he was shot two weeks ago.

Mr Mwelwa said Chikola went missing after he together with Lipson Mambwe of Mpelembe area who is currently admitted to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) nursing a gunshot wound were allegedly shot by a ZAWA game scout after they were found fishing in Kasanka  river.

Mr Mwelwa said after Chikola was shot he ran into the bush and has not been found since then.

The District Commissioner further said he had dispatched officers from the security wings to look for the missing man but to no avail.

He added that Chikola may have died as he has not been seen since the incident happened hence the appeal to the members of the community to help look for him.
