—–Zambia Youths Association in The Fight against Corruption executive director says there is need for concerted efforts in the fight against corruption.

Rickson Kanema says fighting corruption should start at individual level in order to achieve positive results.

Mr Kanema acknowledged that government is making positive strides in the fight against the vice as it is eve n investigating its own officers who are found wanting.

He said people ought to be responsible and emulate what government is doing by moving at the same pace in the fight against corruption.

He expressed happiness that government has instilled confidence in the youths by taking upon itself to curb the retrogressive vice which has the capacity to rob the economy.

Mr Kanema said youths will rally behind the government in its call to fight corruption in order to bring development into focus.

Last year, the President Michael Sata relieved two deputy ministers of their duties on allegations of practising corruption.

The duo, who is alleged to have misused public funds meant for developmental projects in their constituencies, have since been surrendered to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for investigations.
