Shibuyunji celebrates APSD in style
Shibuyunji, June 24, 201, ZANIS….Shibuyunji district commemorated Africa Public Service Day in style by focusing on planting trees in the district.
Africa Public Service Day was this year celebrated under the theme “ Celebrating 50 years of God’s favor ; A public Service Anchored On Continuous Improvement In Service Delivery For Sustainable Development And Well-Being Of The People Of Zambia”
District commissioner Phanuel Mweemba emphasized that civil servants should work hard to improve the living standards of the people of Zambia.
He added that no civil servant should engage in politics warning that if found wanting government will take action.
The DC advised civil servants who want to join politics should resign from their positions.
Public Service Day was celebrated at Mwembezhi Secondary School and all Public Service workers Planted different species of trees at the school.
Shibuyunji District Education Board Secretary Aggripa Simatimba thanked the District Commissioner for choosing Mwembezhi Secondary School as the site for the tree planting.
