AS Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao winds up his visit, Prince and Princess Akishino of Japan are this month end scheduled to visit Zambia to mark 50 years of cordial diplomatic relations.

The prince and princess are visiting to be part of Zambia’s golden jubilee celebrations.
This is according to a statement issued yesterday by Third Secretary for Public Relations and Culture at the Japanese embassy, Yuta Sekiyama.
“This will be a historic occasion and celebration of this memorable year. The Zambian government invited the Prince and Princess to be part of the commemoration of this historic occasion and celebration of this memorable year,” Mr Sekiyama said.
The royal couple will call on President Sata, former President Kenneth Kaunda, tour Livingstone, Kabwata Cultural Village and attend a reception for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Zambia.
The visit is scheduled for June 28 to July 2, 2014.
