Chief Chiwanangala this in an interview with ZANIS in Chilubi district today.

The traditional leader was quick to mention that this year the people of Chilubi have recorded a bumper harvest, hence the need for them to exercise patience if they are to sell their crops at a lucrative price.

Chief Chiwanangala has since advised his subjects not to sell all their produce but also reserve some for consumption to enhance food security at household level.

He attributed this year’s bumper harvest in his chiefdom to early delivery of farming inputs by government and good rainfall pertains experienced in the area.

Recently government promised that it will soon announce the floor price of this year’s maize marketing season.

Meanwhile, the traditional leader has called on government to fill its campaign promises by expediting developmental projects being undertaken in the area.
