Modern Hospitals Coming – Dr Kasonde
Chinsali, June 16, ZANIS—Health Minister Joseph Kasonde says government is committed to constructing modern health infrastructure in the country.
Dr Kasonde said this at the weekend when he visited the site where Muchinga General Hospital will be constructed.
He said the health sector in the country needs to have modern structures and equipment especially in rural areas to provide quality health care to many Zambians that presently are unable to access health services.
Dr Kasonde is optimistic that once completed Muchinga General Hospital will be a shining example of how health facilities should be in the country.
Meanwhile, Muchinga Deputy Permanent Secretary (DPS) Davy Chanda assured the Minister that construction works will soon commence to ensure that the province has a modern hospital.
Mr Chanda said land allocated for the construction of Muchinga General Hospital and a nursing school has already been secured
