SHIWANG`ANDU District Commissioner (DC) Moses Katebe has urged Civil Servants in the District to change their work culture by reporting for work on time.

Mr. Katebe says  he has observed that  his officers have a tendency of reporting for work late and knocking off any time they feel like.

He said   this negative attitude was greatly affecting the delivery of public services to the people of Shiwang`andu District.

ZANIS reports that the District Commissioner  said this during a meeting with Heads of Government departments at his office in Shiwang`andu district on June 4th.

The DC has  charged that Shiwang`andu being a new district needs hard working officers to foster development of the district that will benefit each citizen in the area.

Mr. Katebe has since advised civil servants in the district to remain committed towards work and ensure that they report for work in time as the working hours for all Government departments are from 08:00hrs to 17 :00 hrs.

He said that most of the officers in the district are new to the Zambian civil service and do not observe the regulations in regard to the civil service.
