Reports coming out of Zambia are that Herve Renard could be in line to replace Gordon Igesund as the next Bafana Bafana coach, after the latter did not have his contract renewed by SAFA.

Renard, who won the 2012 Afcon title with the Zambian national side, is currently not tied to a club after parting ways with FC Sochaux, whom he had been in charge of since October last year. He was also linked to the head coaching job in the Morocco national team last month, but nothing came of that.

Renard is without a job after having parted ways with French Ligue 1 side FC Sochaux at the end of the season. Zambian media are now suggesting that he could be the man earmarked to take on the vacant Bafana job, and entrusted with the job of leading the side to the 2015 Afcon qualification.

However, no official confirmation has come from SAFA, but the Siya crew will keep digging to see if there is any truth to the rumours.

Other names that have been bandied about are those of Carlos Quieroz and Stephen Keshi, who are off to the World Cup in Brazil with Iran and Nigeria respectively, and it remains to be seen which man will get the hottest seat in South African football.
