The opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) has called on relevant authorities to constitute a team of medical doctors to determine the health condition of Republican President Michael Chilufya Sata.

APC President Nason Msoni has told QFM News in an interview that the call to constitute a team of medical doctors is based on the assessment done yesterday during Labour Day celebrations.

Mr. Msoni has emphasized that the call should not be perceived with ill intentions but that the people need an assurance that the Head of State is fine.

Mr. Msoni adds that it is important that the board be constituted as soon as possible to give assurance to the nation that the President is well and clear the speculations that he is not feeling well.

He states that the occurrence during this year’s Labour Day leaves one to wonder whether the Head of State was well and calls for medical examination.
