Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has called for robust regulation and supervision so that Zambia’s markets retain enough confidence to attract more investments as the country strives to develop.

SEC chief executive officer Wala Chabala says it is evident that there is clear lack of innovating new products that suit the growth and emerging markets in the country.

Dr. Chabala has told QFM news that regulators have a huge task ahead of them hence the need to drive innovation of products suitable for development and emerging markets.

Meanwhile, Dr. Chabala says stimulating liquidity in the growth and emerging markets is critical as it ensures that prices of assets are reflective of economic fundamentals.
