Sakwiba Sikota hails Hichilema’s high level of maturity

Opposition United Liberal Party (ULP) President Sakwiba Sikota says UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has demonstrated high level of maturity by restraining his party cadres from retaliating with violence following last Saturdays attack on his entourage by suspected PF cadres in Ndola.

Mr. Sikota notes that by restraining his party cadres from hitting back, the UPND leader has also demonstrated that he has a heart for the country and should be commended.

He says it is now incumbent on the PF government to ensure that all citizens are protected regardless of political affiliation to avoid violent retaliations.

Mr Sikota says it is also government’s role to ensure that the ugly scene witnessed in Ndola on Saturday last week involving PF cadres does not reoccur.

Mr Sikota has told Qfm News that government should show that it is in control be ensuring that perpetrators of Saturday’s attack on the UPND entourage in Ndola are brought to book.
