The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) says both the government and the Technical Committee tasked with drafting the new constitution have betrayed the Zambia people.
EFZ Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza has told QFM News that the technical committee had promised the people of Zambia that it will present the draft constitution simultaneously to the appointing authority and the ZambiaN people, which they have failed to do.
Reverend Mwanza says the manner the Technical Committee and government have both handled the constitution making process is disappointing.
Rev Mwanza says it appears the both the government and the technical committee do not want to tell the Zambian people the truth on who is holding ON TO the draft constitution.
He has challenged the PF government to fulfill its campaign promise to the people of Zambia by delivering a people driven constitution.
Rev. Mwanza adds that the turn of events in the constitution making process should be a lesson to other opposition political parties not to make fake promises while in opposition and later change their minds when in power.
