Govt. to electrify all schools in  Kafue District

Lusaka, March 30, 2014,  ZANIS——- Kafue Member of Parliament(MP) Obvious Mwaliteta says  public schools in the district are earmarked for electrification using the Constituency Development Funds(CDF) funds.

 

Mr. Mwaliteta , who is also Central Province Minister,  says the electrification exercise is a two year programme which will run for from 2014 to 2016.

 

He said this will help rural schools to be advantaged like those in urban areas in terms of having access to modern technology such as computers.

 

The MP said this during a PTA Executive Committee fund- raising braii at Topgrade Academy in Kafue District,  yesterday.

 

Speaking earlier, Topgrade Academy PTA Chairman Mulenga Chisha said the braii was targeted at raising funds for completion of the computer laboratory which was at slab level.

 

Mr. Mulenga said the fund raising braii was the PTA executive committee’s  initiative by to help the school complete one of the projects which required huge some sums of money.
