The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZSCD) has observed that Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda must be forgiven for the recent remarks attributed to him that people that form Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have allegedly failed in life.

Executive Director Lewis Mwape says the person that must be blamed instead is President Michael Sata who resuscitated Mr. Chikwanda whom he says allegedly has a UNIPist mentality.

Mr. Mwape says such a statement attributed to the Finance Minister is also evidence that he is a politician who does not believe in Democracy.

The ZSCD Executive Director further notes that such mentality that Mr. Chikwanda allegedly has could also be the reason why the country’s economy has allegedly continued to go done.

He says this can also be seen in how the country’s exchange market has been allegedly fairing badly while Mr. Chikwanda continues to hold the position Finance Minister.
