‘Things happen for a reason’ – Lewis Hamilton’s bizarre comment over Michael Schumacher

Doctors are currently battling to bring the German motor-racing star out of his artificial coma.

Earlier this week, his manager said there were “small, encouraging signs” of an improvement in his condition and that they “remain confident” the 45-year-old will wake up.

Ahead of the first race of the new F1 season in Australia on Sunday, Hamilton paid tribute to the seven-time World Champion.

The 29-year-old hailed Schumacher as a “legend in the sport… who has achieved so much.”

However, in an interview with the Telegraph, Hamilton strangely suggested: “I feel like all things happen for a reason, I think that this is an experience that will really show his character and depth and even more so than any other experiences he’s had.”

Schumacher remains at the University of Grenoble hospital in France.

He is unable to breathe on his own and remains on a ventilator.
