Opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) president Charles Milupi says his party is still not motivated to join the opposition Alliance being speared headed by four opposition political parties despite the alliance making progress in finding common ground to exist as a formidable coalition.

The Opposition Alliance which comprises the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD), Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ), Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) and the People’s Party (PP) recently resolved to field one common candidate in future by-elections between now and 2016.

But Mr. Milupi says his party can only join a political party alliance that gives an inspiring program and stipulates among other things how it will deal with the issue of improving the social sector and how it intends to increase the country’s revenue base from the current Five billion United State Dollars to something higher once in government.

Mr. Milupi says his party will in the meantime concentrate on formulating its manifesto.

He adds that it is the same manifesto which his party will also sell to other political parties that would want to cooperate with it.
