Zambia’ s under-17 women’ s national soccer team has clinched a friendly game against China as part of preparations ahead of the Costa Rica 2014 FIFA World Cup finals, the Zambia Daily Mail reported on Friday.

The Zambian team, which left Wednesday for California, in the United States of America (USA), for a 10-day training camp in readiness for the World Cup finals which kicks-off on March 15, will play China while in the USA.

Coach Albert Kachinga said he was in touch with his counterpart from China and have agreed to lock horns in a friendly game.

The friendly game, he said, will give the technical bench an insight of what to expect in Costa Rica.

“The players have done most of the training here (Zambia) and the preparation games in the United States is meant to fine tune them. We are looking at two and three training games,” he was quoted as saying by the paper.

Zambia has been drawn against Venezuela, Italy and hosts Costa Rica.
