Lusaka, February 26,ZANIS—The Zambian Handball Team has been drawn in a tricky Group C with Angola and Kenya at next month’s African Nations Handball Championship to be held in Kenya.

The draws which were conducted last evening in Abidjan, Ivory Coast by the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB) has however cheered the Handball Association of Zambia.

Handball Association of Zambia (HAZ) communications manger Josab Changa confirmed this in an interview today.

Changa told ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today that the association is happy with the outcome of the draws.

He added that playing Angola which is one of the best teams in Africa will avail Zambia the opportunity to remain focus.

According to the draws conducted last evening Group A comprises of Egypt, Libya and Guinea while group B has Tunisia, Algeria and Niger.

The African nations handball championship will run from 14 to 30th march in Nairobi Kenya.

Meanwhile, Changa has appealed to government and the corporate world to help his association with financial support to send the team to Kenya.

Changa said his association is in a financial crisis and failure to send the team to the championship will result in serious sanctions from CAHB.
