Mansa hospital undergoes rehabilitation

Mansa, Feb 11/14, ZANIS—–The K1.4million Project of constructing a kitchen at Mansa General Hospital which was started in the UNIP era is nearing completion now under the Patriotic Front Government.

Acting Senior Hospital Administrator Augustine Jere disclosed this when Mansa District Commissioner Mirriam Kauseni toured the Hospital premises.

Mr Jere said the project was started in the Kaunda Government and stalled for over 20 years and has only been revisited by the PF administration and was nearing completion.

He said funds were released and all the procedures were followed through the provincial tendering committee.

Mr Jere said the structure was already on window level before its works stalled.

He said with the commitment of the PF Government, the project was given only 16 weeks to complete by changing some of the designs which has now included the plan.

Meanwhile, the K120,000.00 water reticulation project at Mansa General Hospital is nearing completion.

Acting Senior Hospital Administrator, Augustine Jere, disclosed this when Mansa District Commissioner, Mirriam Kauseni, toured the premises.

Mr Jere said the water project will save the hospital K30,000.00 bills it used to pay the Luapula Water and Sewerage Company per month.
