Nawakwi counsels Sichinga

Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has advised agriculture minister bob Sichinga to humble himself and listen to advise to avoid creating what she has termed as hunger of untold proportion in the country.

Ms. Nawakwi has told QFM News in an interview that Zambians need sufficient food to sustain their families than continue to live in poverty.

Ms. Nawakwi notes that it is unfortunate that government has over spent on every front of and over borrowed on food reserve agency and this will affect the people who depend on government for their sustenance.

She says there is need for the minister of agriculture to sit back and work to the benefit of the majority farmers who are contributing to the country%u2019s food basket by listening to the experts like the Zambian national farmers union (ZNFU).

Ms. Nawakwi says it is possible for government to plan within what the budget has provided for.
