Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has given President Michael Chilufya Sata eleven conditions to meet before he buys him a first class ticket to India.

Speaking to Journalists during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Hichilema boastingly said he is the only opposition leader in the country to make a President cut short his holiday and that it is good that President Sata has come back to attend to the issues affecting the people.

Mr. Hichilema says he will only buy President Sata a First Class ticket to India if he delivers the constitution to the people of Zambia which he promised to deliver the constitution within ninety days.

The UPND leader states that it is important that before President Sata can be given the first class ticket, he reduces the mealie meal prices because many people cannot afford to buy the commodity.

Mr. Hichilema adds that President Sata should reinstate all the dismissed nurses, midwives and all the health personnel who were fired during the strike late last year.

He furthermore adds that President Sata should reintroduce the windfall tax or its equivalent and stop the reckless borrowing especially when most of these loans are for consumption and investment to Zambia from building another debt mountain which will be difficult to dismantle.

The UPND President states that it is also important that President Sata repeal the draconian NGO Act and replace it with one agreed upon by relevant stakeholders including NGOs and Civil society organizations (CSOs).

Mr. Hichilema says it is also important that President Sata remove Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda from her position because she filed the required parliamentary ratification process to serve as Chief Justice.

He says if President Sata is really serious about him buying him a first class ticket to India, he should meet the above conditions then he will be given the ticket.
