-Citi Bank Head of Human Resource and Public Affairs, Mabvuto Daka, has called on journalists in the country to develop keen interest in business and financial reporting.

Mr Daka said raising the quality of financial reporting and business journalism will greatly benefit various communities by attracting credible investors in the finance and business sectors.

ZANIS reports that Mr Daka said this in Lusaka today at the official launch of the Citi Journalistic Excellence Awards (CJEA).

Mr Daka explained that three outstanding business reporters for the year 2013 will be shortlisted and submitted to the final panel of judges at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in New York.

The winner from each of the 106 countries where the competition is taking place will receive a local recognition as well as a global opportunity to join fellow journalists from around the world at a special seminar in New York City later this year.

Mr Daka has since called on journalists to submit their entries to Citi Bank and disclosed that the closing date for entries is February 15, this year.
