Lota who was Moroka Swallows assistant coach and played for Orlando Pirates as a striker died after an illness.
Moroka Swallows said about the death of the part time Supersport soccer pundit, ‘are reeling with shock after assistant coach Dennis Lota passed away.
Dube Birds coach Zeka Marques confirmed the terrible news of the passing away of his colleague.
“Yes it’s true. I am at his house at the moment,” said Marques.

Lota was admitted to the hospital over the weekend after being sick for a week, and passed away on Tuesday.
He was forty years old.
A Zambian International, Dennis ‘Chesa Mpama’ Lota played over a hundred games for Pirates between 1998 and 2002 and also had spells at a number of other South African clubs including Swallows, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Witbank Aces, FC AK, Amazulu and Dangerous Darkies.
Two of his brothers, Lawrence and Charles, were also football players. -The Independent Observer
