Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) president Nevers Mumba has described as null and void criticism that has attracted the formulation of the alliance of opposition political parties.

Dr. Mumba whose party the MMD is amongst the four opposition political parties that have formed the alliance, has also advise critics to relax.

In an interview with Qfm Dr. Mumba has argued that this is because the opposition alliance is a coalition for the willing.

Dr. Mumba say this is also why criticism on the formulation of the alliance by some people who are not part of alliance or understand what it is all about is null and void.

The MMD president further explains that what the people in the country are asking for is a way in which unity can be promoted and that such a way should start from somewhere such as the formulation of an alliance like the MMD and other three opposition political parties have done.

He says no one is being forced to join the alliance the more reason why people that are criticizing the formulation of the alliance should respond to the Zambian people who sought such unity among opposition political parties.

The opposition leader further suggests that if there is anybody who has a better way of going about an opposition alliance should also bring their suggestions on the table as opposed to criticizing something they are not part of.

He says all four opposition political parties that have formed the alliance are not in the contention that it will fail.
